A few starter suggestions.
This is a brand-spanking new forum, it could go anywhere. 99 out of 100 forums never make it anywhere, they die after there first week. If you are actually serious about getting this somewhere, then:
1. Advertise. Go to link-swapping sites and swap links with as many and as large websites as you can. Get people to affiliate with you. Find people who will pay you to put banner ads on this forum.
2. Recruit. Get your best friends to do a favor for you and getting traffic for this site. Maybe they'll join. Maybe they'll get others to join. Even word of mouth works spectacularly.
3. Stay with it. Don't give up on the forum, and it won't give up on you. Keep with it, updating, giving people a reason to come back, etc.
4. Add more boards. Personal suggestion here. Yes, it is good for a site to have a main topic, but successful forums have many alternative board topics, allowing for ranging varieties of discussion. Not to mention, detail categories, subsections of the main topics.
Good luck with your forum!
